Larry Atchley, Jr grew up in Grapevine, Texas, writing stories and poetry since he was a teenager. He became serious about publishing his fiction writing after attending a writers workshop presented by authors Sarah A. Hoyt and Amanda S. Green in 2010, which boosted his confidence enough to try getting his work published. His first big break as a writer came when authors Janet Morris and Chris Morris invited him to join their group collaborating on a fiction shared world anthology and asked him to submit a story for the book. They accepted “Remember, Remember, Hell in November” and published it in Lawyers in Hell in June 2011. His writing will appear in the following anthologies later this year: Sha’Daa Pawns, Rogues in Hell, and A Book of Night, a poetry collection. He is currently working on several short stories and a fantasy novel.

Some of his other interests include Qi-Gong Kung Fu martial arts, traditional archery, fencing, philosophy, mythology, paranormal investigation, photography, bicycling, hiking, reading, and collecting books. His wife, Sussie Atchley, is a professional freelance photographer, and his daughter Alina Atchley is an artist and custom jewelry maker. They live with their two terriers, Frodo and Rosie, and two cats, Samwise and Prue in the suburbs of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, in Texas.
